About half of the approximately 300 Nimboran verb roots cited by Anceaux select, under specified conditions, for a special morpheme which occurrs in the modifier. For instance, "patià-" "hold a pig-feast" selects for "-ràr-" [...], while "rekéi-" "roll" selects for "-de/re-" [...]. I will refer to these special morphemes by the generic term "particle".
