The Vocabulary entries in competition for insertion in a particular terminal node automatically organize themselves into blocks like that illustrated in (5 [immagine]), where entries are ordered by the principle that the most specified entry takes precedence over entries that are less specified. [...] this ordering by decreasing complexity was explicitly recognized already in Pāṇini's Aṣṭadhyāyī.
