After a fixed period of time, "r" time steps, a single syllable is selected according to the following phonological rule: Syl → Onset Nucleus Coda, where "Onset" stands for either the initial null element, an initial consonant, or an initial consonant cluster; "Nucleus" stands for a vowel or diphtong; and "Coda" is either the final null element, a final consonant, or a final consonant cluster.
