(b) "Modality-specific LRs". There will be separate lists of LRs for each modality, and items in each list will be in a code appropriate to that modality i.e. a word can have LRs specific to speech, to hearing, to reading and to writing. No neutral LR code is postulated. It is not necessary that each word a speaker knows will have a LR in every modality.
