The languages, which we shall now endeavour to shew, as being intimately connected with the Sanskrit, are the Greek, Latin, and the ancient Teutonic dialects. Among the latter we prefer the Gothic, as the oldest, and, therefore probably, bearing the greatest similitude to its Asiatic sister.
