When the pidgin acquires native speakers and the process of creolization occurs, some of the added vocabulary and grammatical structures may be indigenous creations (e. g., by compounding: eye-water ‘tears’, or by reduplication chip-chip, the plural ‘chips’), but most are drawn from the language of the dominant group.
