Minimal complexity, for a moneme, would seem to amount to a formal inexistence, and this is indeed what we found in the case of such grammatical functions as are marked by position: in a language with a subject, i.e. a formally characterized compulsory actualizer of the predicate, no normal complete statement can exist without one.
