In some languages we will find a number of segments which differ from all the others (though they may be similar among themselves) in the kinds of environmental limitations they have. These segments will in many cases occur only in exclamation morphemes, animal calls, words borrowed from foreign languages, and note their limitation to a small or otherwise identifiable group of morphemes.
