Restrictive facets would, for instance, be: (a) the standardization of the language through artificial neutralization of its dialectal and sociololectal variations (or, in written form, of its orthographic variations); (b) the elimination of free fluctuation, linked creatively with the introduction of predetermined stabilization (in its written form, this could also refer to the orthography of a language); (c) the artificial stemming of the tide of a foreign influence, which usually manifests itself in vocabulary and can violate established rules of the language, but can potentially also affect various other levels of structure. This can be coupled with the creative act of artificial encouragement of established features and rules of the language that achieve linguistic ends equivalent to those for which the foreign impact is striving; (d) the artificial suppression and elimination of a particular script or alphabet used for a language and, as creative facet, the invention of a new one and the replacement of the former by it; etc.
